When issues of bullying are added to the challenges already present for children with disabilities, school can become an unbearable experience. This webinar will focus on how to help families of students with disabilities address bullying concerns. In addition to exploring what families can do to help their child, a summary of legal aspects related to bullying and the special needs child will be presented.

Jan Urbanski, Ed.D. is the Director of Safe and Humane Schools within the Institute on Family & Neighborhood Life at Clemson University where she oversees dissemination of the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program and related initiatives focused on positive connections and reducing bullying and violence. Jan also has more than 20 years of school district experience and has authored several publications and curriculum related to bullying prevention.
